Arrived very quickly, ordered 13/11, received 16/11. The case opens up fully (clam style) as I had hoped, it was not described as a clam style case in product details but I hoped it was due to another reviewers remarks. The shoulder strap has a sturdy metal clip on each end which attach to metal triangles on the case as I had also hoped (plastic is prone to snapping easily I find). The case is an Xmas pressie for my Mum so I can't rate performance yet but her 17" Sony Viao fits in it with enough room for the charger and travel mouse so as long as it lasts her a while it will be perfect!

You certainly get what you pay for with laptop bags. Paid a great deal more for my Tech Air courier bag and was very impressed.

However this is much cheaper - and it shows. The protection it offers is minimal: not really much depth to the padding. But not a big issue as it's only really for carrying between office & car.

The big flaw is with the front pocket. If you put your power supply in it, it won't seal shut. The pocket expands to accommodate whatever you put in, but that means the velco strips no longer meet! :o(

For just over £10 can't complain ... but adequate is all it can be described as. A bit disappointing really for such a reputable manufacturer.

This laptop bag (just arrived today direct from Amazon and ahead of time) appears, at first inspection, to be very smart, good quality, robust, well padded and have all the pockets/holders etc. that you'd expect.

There is a large pocket both outside and inside the bag which will comfortably take an A4 folder or a mains adaptor and cable. Inside there are also 3 pouches for presumably CDs (although CD jewel cases won't fit)and 6 smaller ones for whatever goes in them (floppies/credit cards?). There are also 2 pen holders.

My 17.3" HP DV7 fits comfortably in the main compartment and there is a velcro strap to secure it when in place. There is still ample space in the bag once the computer is secured - for say, another A4 folder, CD jewel cases, ipod, mobile phone, mouse etc.

So there you have it - 5 stars. I'm struggling to fault it and would not hesitate to recommend it.

I've certainly received a few approving (envious) looks when I've opened it to reveal a working iPad inside. Product arrived as promised. Visually & aesthetically striking - when people realise what it is they are impressed. As a 'user' there are a few criticisms: (1) the iPad can slip out of the Book-book when it's open - the upstand of the zipper edge is insufficient to stop the iPad sliding out (&being damaged) - be careful! (2) there's no even, minimal, storage for the odd piece or slip of paper; (3) with the book-book open it's difficult to insert the power cable connector; (4) the string-n-button arrangement works quite well but is fiddly and the string, packed inside when the book-book is closed, leaves a mark on the tablet screen (this can be cleaned off but it's annoying).
Someone needs to produce an iPad case that allows easy safe use in either landscape or portrait modes.

Spoiled by a design error, 16 Dec 2010

A beautiful case for a wonderful product but spoilt by a design fault in the leather supports holding the bottom of the iPad. These supports are too high and therefore (a) it is difficult to close the top (b) in the portrait position the elastic band covers the menus. The left hand support also prevents the main on-off switch from being reached. Twelve South's suggestion is to push the iPad down further into the leather supports. The rigidity of the leather prevents that from being a solution. The total result is that (a) when open in the landscape position the iPad dangles inelegantly over the right hand edge of its case (b) because it is usually difficult to close, the top zip will eventually break away at the top left corner.

I bought this to keep a small pot of milk cool for my coffee machine. Although the cooling plate at the bottom of the product becomes cold, it doesn't really chill the drink - as it is not strong enough. I would think (I haven't tested it) it keeps the drink chilled to about 10 degrees.
Overall, I would recommend this product if you want to keep a chilled drink cool on a hot day - but not really to keep things cold for a long time.

Also, the product title says that it is a "Black USB Desk Fridge". The one that arrived was red (Not that I mind!).

This is the same item that is being sold under a slightly different name as Satzuma USB Fridge, also on Amazon but a bit cheaper. This particular version has an on/off swith fitted to the USB cable, however. The product description is incorrect, as it DOES NOT have the capacity to warm products.

You're getting what you pay for - it feels cheap, and the production values are obviously as low as possible - there's an LED light inside to indicate the power supply, and the door stays closed magnetically.

I'd recommend that this product is used to keep things cold rather than make things cold, as it doesn't have a lot of power in the cooling plate.

Purchased this 16GB stick to back up my music collection and play it in the car, I was pleased with the quality of the item and it worked right away with my Macbook Air without issues. One point worth noting - because it's round and slightly bulky in profile i couldn't connect it directly to the recessed port on my macbook, however with a USB hub I always carry it connected fine. Would buy another for the money.
